I dealt with that on a daily basis. Told my manager and nothing was ever done. Guess what I was let go and he is still there

This is what I am worried about. My boss takes his word as gold and it’s most of the time wrong.

Just tell them, maybe as a group. Everyone shouldn't have to suffer in silence.
Things like that can happen. An over-confident clown can be taken more seriously than people who actually know what they're doing. In a lot of cases all you can do is try to avoid people like that and navigate around them as best you can.
If it's a big enough issue, is there someone above them you could speak to about your concerns?
I would honestly speak to your manager about it. It sounds like someone needs to have a sit down with this person and talk to them about the way they are treating others.

Ugh, that’s so frustrating. The best approach is usually to stay focused on your own work, document when needed, and pick your battles—don’t let their attitude dictate your energy. Confidence doesn’t equal competence, and you can’t fix someone else’s ego.
