I have been at a position for 2 years now for a non-profit, focused on a single county/location. The company has merged with another county, but my team has stayed the same size. Leadership has informed me that I will now be over two locations, with two different marketing plans and end goals. This is not a real "hey do you want to do this?" but a "this is the new plan."
I feel like there should be an increase as well. But I don't know where to start. Thoughts?

A coworker and I Both have been a tech for the same amount of years but she got 1.50 more than I did. How do I bring this up as the supervisor mentioned that we shouldn’t be talking about our raises.

I’m a former forensic scientist that left the field several years ago. I recently received a subpoena from a case I worked and suggested to DA to have evidence re-worked by the lab or stipulation. If I am required to testify (as an expert witness), I would need to book a flight, hotel, etc. My question is this: can I ask for my requested hourly rate, travel, and hotel to be covered when speaking with DA or is that “not how this works” as the investigator put it?
