I'll be joining tw as UI Lead, soon.
I'm a javascript/react developer since inception of my career & haven't worked much on CICD/JENKINS and similar technology.
Should I be worried that as a lead I don't know these and will it affect by job security?
Ps- I'm good at UI,js, react etc.

could you please give some insights, on what is happening and why these things are happening ?

TWs became private again and the new private entity which owns wants to make the company profitable so that,
A. They can start earning profits or
B. They can sell to another company
For last year and this year mid year salary correction, they were able to give because of the money invested by the private firm which took over last year.
Now they will try to start getting money and options are,
Don't or different hike
Wait for attrition and replace with cheaper folks
If your offer is good then you can join if you don't have any other option.
You are asking this question at a time when everyone is disheartened and angry because our pay hikes have been pushed out to Q2 next year. Overall company has not been doing great. A lot of leadership changes, and limping back to growth. So people are upset and dejected at this point. If you have other options, please explore. But again, are we better than the other IT consultancies? I really don't know. Objectively it's still a decent place. Largely positive work environment and good culture. I'd say use your time to shop for other offers and if you find something better, go. If not, it's still a good enough place.
Has this happened in the past as well and do they extend again and again ?

I can answer that, 2 years back it was deffered from April to Nov stating alignment with global appraisal but what happens now is because company is yet to be profitable after becoming private again last year.
Last year's pay revision and this year's mid year revision happened with money given by the new investors.
Now, looks like no more money investment but the company needs to be profitable to give pay rise. How can that happen? Not sure but profit is at 7% now. There could be new projects revenue or even silent layoffs which will help.
