I have a little over a year of experience as a Partner Success Manager at a Tech company. My company is looking to do salary negotiations this year. When I started out, my base was 70k plus commission of 10k minimum extra. Curious to know what others are making as a PSM and also looking for other opportunities!

We are currently contemplating a spousal carve out on our medical plan. We have roughly 5500 members including 1200 spouses. I'm having a difficult time gaging the amount of disruption we will be facing. Has anyone else implemented a spousal carve out? How poorly was it received? Was there any particular communication that you felt minimized disruption?

How do you make your tradeshow booths inviting and interesting on a shoestring budget? We have a nice, nothing out of the norm, backdrop, our set up is properly branded.

Swag is hard to justify budget for, so we have pens and cool telescopic flashlights we give to people who fit our ideal customer profile or at least have a meaningful interaction with us.

Lastly, I bring Moonpies ... they seem to be different enough from what everyone else offers.

Do you think there’s a glass ceiling for out gay employees? I’ve been with my (now) husband for the last two decades and had three positions. I’ve absolutely excelled in each, winning awards, exceeding goals, working well. But with each position, I’ve had difficulty getting promoted. I even took on the responsibilities of a senior director after his firing and I couldn’t get promoted. My handpicked successor — who I think is an excellent marketer — became a director almost immediately.

I am an in-house marketing director. Get good feedback on my performance and generally contribute to the organization. The majority of my work is self-generated, I don't get too many emails from across the organization. Is that a bad thing?

Have you interviewed for a job where you haven’t even spoken to the recruiter? At this company I’ve dealt with the interview scheduler, hiring manager and even a panel for my second interview with the director and another senior manager…but no recruiter.

I reached out, but still nothing…so I don’t even know the real comp, benefits or specifics of this job. Has anyone encountered this? I’m thinking I’d speak to the recruiter once an offer is made.

I am currently in a “data-centric” role, as in I do a lot of SQL writing, unwinding python/php/java code to understand how systems work, and proposing solutions to either automate processes or eliminate redundancies.

I am in talks with Capgemini. They had done prescreening and asked about my ECTC, I replied 18 [CTC12.3]. After that they had taken technical interview and proceeded with HR where they are saying that 18 is quite high for them to offer as I have only 4 years of experience.
