Organisations have to justify pay increases do start there. What have you done that has made money , saved money or saved time for their customers, departments or organisation as a whole. What are the projects that you have mad a quantifiable contribution to that has affected the company’s bottom line or solved a major issue?
What else have you done to show your problem solving skills.
Make a list and use it as a lever to open up discussions about your pay.
Best of luck
I'd suggest making your argument for the raise focused on yourself and your progress in the position. Getting the degree is great, but it doesn't really do much for the business. However, if you can show how you've become a more productive and more valuable employee over the past year, you can make a good case for yourself. You're a better employee than you were when your salary was set, so you deserve a bump up. Weave that theme into it.

Getting a degree didn’t prove your actual work. So, base it on your accomplishments there and apply what you learned from your degree. I’d always try to see what happens. It gives confirmation on how the company values me. But up to you! If you don’t care for the company, move on.
