I torrented it but it’s pretty cheap. CISSP and the GREM were the only two certs I got to the end and had no idea if I passed.
Cissp is about being able to do the exam now. The number of people i interview who have it who have no experience or can’t put it into practice is crazy. Also i won’t name firms but some get other people to sit it so they can have huge numbers of cissp experts.
Tldr - it’s not the cert it once was
Cism is ok if you are running programmes. At the moment the market is saturated with certs.
I went down the chartered route as it’s 10+ years including certs etc. I’ve also got some SANS and cloud technical security ones.
Cissp will get you past most recruiters and ats scanners. Just make sure it’s not a paper thing and you will be fine.
I've studied for a lot of certs. CISSP was the most boring. And dear God the test was a word salad dumpster fire.
