Husband and I thinking of taking a 1-2 nights away at a Chicago hotel (even though we live here) with some interesting activities nearby (plays/shows/pool/nice bar or restaurant nearby). Suggestions?

Peninsula (super nice pool, etc., and outdoor terrace) or Park Hyatt. Or the Nobu Hotel in the West Loop, something different.

like

Definitely agree with Peninsula or Park Hyatt - especially one of the Park Hyatt Rooms with a lake view.

like

Agreed with Mck1, peninsula and Nobu.

Others I’d consider…Hoxton is solid. Virgin hotel. Sofitel. The Robey. The Viceroy.

She’s on my leg and she’s snoring, but I don’t want to move since she looks so comfy. I’m her slave. Planning her birthday— go to the dog beach + eat at a restaurant with a doggie menu + get a pup cake at a dog cafe + spend a night at a hotel (having trouble finding hotels that’s allow dogs >50lbs 😒). What else can I do for her? She has too many toys & doesn’t play with them often. No need for more treats since she eats more treats than kibbles. But what gift can I get her?
