I have years of work experience, but don't have a degree or anything. How can I improve my chances of being hired while still being paid well for the skills I do have?
Or am I just SOL without a degree?

With some companies, you’ll be SOL. But many look at the years of experience in place of degrees. Look for those type of job descriptions. And really emphasize your experience in your resume.

Think about how many people with a degree now and no work experience cannot find a job. College is a great litmus test (can the person get things done), I don’t have a degree but half of the people who report to me do. They have very little understanding of how to apply new tech AI to real world experiences. I will always consider the person who knows how to do the work and apply technology over a degree. When I was in college 50% of the people partied every week and skated by with average grades. Once you’re actually in it you realize that these a lot of the people in college really aren’t that smart.

You are not SOL. Just pump up how you use your skills and how they can be used in the job you are applying for. This is where AI can be handy. Might not advising just copying and pasting it though. Also, have different examples of your skills in the interview.
I've been able to land jobs without a degree for all these long years. Good luck!

I cleared technical round and during final call with HR, my salary expectations were higher as per HR.

My current CTC is 9lpa, skill-IAM and Java, YOE-3. I asked for 14lpa, best they could give was 11lpa. I know I asked a lot.

She didn't care to negotiate and cut my call and now they put my candidature on hold. Can I expect call back? Or i can consider myself rejected?

I’m have a new theory about why juniors always feel like idiots and wanted to see if anyone else thinks this makes sense. I’m a third year, and am the most junior person all of my teams (generally me, a senior or two, and a partner or two), and I always feel like I’m messing something up. Is this just because I never get to work with other juniors and don’t see the mistakes they make, and that it’s relatively normal? And FWIW I went to HYS and I’ve had a clerkship so it’s not like I’m not smart
