I never stopped thinking about my next move, even when I was happy at a company. I’ve found it’s helpful not to limit yourself just because you’re comfortable. You never know what opportunities might be out there.

That’s so true!
I started thinking about leaving when I was passed over for promotion twice, and the second time I had to teach the person promoted over me, who was now my boss, how to do things.

Yikes, that would make me want to leave too
Since a while ago, the problem with me is that since I have to pay all this bills and with kids now, is really hard to move into something new, I’ve been working in the kitchen industry for 20 years now and the last month I’ve got a part time job as a ramp clerk in the airport, this one finally pays enough but there is the problem, that’s only a part time, I can’t wait to get more hours to finally say bye to the kitchen and the restaurant industry, but sometimes the changes are good and they are necessary

I started thinking about my next step when I was ready to advance in my career in my current position had no movement or if I wanted more money.
I always look for another job when im not feeling the role im in. Mainly because of boredom and repetition. Also as you said being looked over for promotion
I left my previous job because i couldn’t take it amymore but right now I've been working remotely for a while now, and it's been going well. Though I'm not rich, I make enough to live comfortably. If anyone is interested, I'm happy to share what I do and how I got started!
Always make sure you keep an eye on the job market. Then you know if you are being rewarded for your worth. You'll also know if the perfect job comes up even though you may not realise it's what you're looking for.
