They rolled out the red carpet, had even (local) fully remote partners come in to meet me, took me and almost every counsel and partner in the entire department of this office out to an expensive lunch. The recruiter told me before I went that it was a done deal and was more to wine and dine me. That was Monday and I haven’t yet heard anything. Is this bad? Am I overthinking this?

Any recommendations for books/articles/other materials regarding development deals? I’ve been doing CRE transactions for years, but I just started a new role that includes a big development component. I’d love something that walks me through the major components of a development deal/explains when certain AIA forms get used, etc. (to supplement the training I’m getting from my boss)

I completed the last round of an interview (presentation) last week. Originally they said they would be calling my references & then make an offer accordingly.
Today they updated that they'd like me to travel to their HQ (based in Nordics & I'm in London) for the final round where I'd meet the CEO, the hiring manager and a couple of people in the team.
I don't think I'm the only one in the process - even though initially the last round was the presentation.

Is it common to negotiate software engineer salary at smaller companies? I know it’s common at FAANG, but what about for companies with around 200 engineers? I have a counter offer from my current company and on-site interviews scheduled for end of July with google and Amazon, but I’d prefer to go with the smaller local company if I can negotiate the salary (from offer letter) up another 5% or so.

The recruiter at a job fair yesterday said I'm a good fit, but to send her an email with edits to the resume to make it look more like a managers one because they have to sell applicants to higher ups and schedule an interview.
