I just accepted my first home health position and the contract shows I'll earn 30% less than agreed upon for my entire 90-day probation. Nobody told me this during interviews or negotiations! I'm checking with my hiring manager but she hasn't responded yet. Is this type of pay decrease during probation typical? Should I be concerned about other surprises?

My company contracts a web developer, we have a set amount of hours for the quarter and pay over if more work is needed.
He never gets anything done. Doesn’t answer emails half the time. The one thing he’s done was take out a blurb that threatened our eligibility for patent renewal.
