I make it a habit to ask my coworkers and bosses for a referral letter every year. I set a calender
reminder and save them to my Google Drive so they're ready when I need them. Do the same thing
with updating your resume.

YES. I was skeptical at first but most of the jobs I've applied to ask for my linked in page.

It depends on how you're applying. Most hospitals that have corporate doing their HR will still go
through the formal process of getting references.
