I just received a job offer for a senior tech consulting role. The salary is $140K, which is a fair market rate for my area of the country, and meets my financial needs. In my 8 years of consulting, I've always negotiated, but this seems genuinely reasonable. Should I still negotiate or accept this good-faith offer?

Still negotiate another 5 to 10% this sounds baseline for what it is

like

I think you should still negotiate assuming that most companies aren't offering great cost of living raises these days.

I don't know your country or area, but only negotiate if your willing to lose the job. If you are, negotiate, if not and you are happy, don't. In this economy many companies will not say mo, but pull the whole offer.

like

Negotiate. At least one round. There's no way they are going to resend an offer for one round of negotiation. The worst that would probably happen is they would say no.

I would still try to negotiate - obviously up to you based on your recruiting experience and how good a fit it is but in my experience I’ve always thought negotiating was worthwhile

I resigned and accepted a job with EY GDS with a huge pay bump that DUSI can't match but I also gave up my potential promotion for 2023.

I've been feeling bad about putting my papers down and letting go off my promotion but I am really tired. I took up this job as an escape.

I’ve been a freelance print production designer for many years, and usually on-site in the before times. Now I work remote, and am finding it uneasy dealing with billing. Before I always billed hourly, which made sense, but it’s becoming an issue now. Some companies don’t have a full days’ work, so it seems wrong to bill full days, and it allows me to juggle projects for different companies, but my billable hours are down. I know I should bill a daily rate, but not sure that will fly. Thoughts?

I was approached on LinkedIn for an early career recruiting role in DFW, TX. I don't have direct experience, but I have the university experience/connections from working in career services. This is the first time I've considered work outside of higher education. I said my salary expectations are minimum $90k and that didn't seem to be an issue. Am I asking too little, too much? How can I know I'm getting the best salary and not just settling at the low end of the range?

How do I approach this with my boss as I’m not sure she’s aware I’m actually technically a junior? Revolving around asking for a move up + raise
