I just received an offer for a Sr. Buyer role with a medium size company in Houston, Tx. The company specializes in ultrasonic pipeline inspection & data-analysis for oil/gas/chemicals companies. They offered me a salary of 97K - below my ask salary of roughly 115K. I have nearly 20 years of experience in this field and have several certifications aligning to my career path. I'm currently in leiu of obtaining my BA in the same path. Should I negoiate for more and what would be a fair amount?

What is a good salary range for a Principal UX Designer with 15+ years of experience working in either Finance, Tech or Media industry in NYC?

Got offered 68k after 2 years as a contractor (62.5k) doing project management/business admin in a tech department at a Fortune 500 bank. I have an A.S degree and working on my bachelor’s/masters may 2024. I negotiated to 84k NYC. I have seen interns get offered 38 per hour (79k) for internship positions with a similar role.

Thoughts? Should I go higher? I do my job well that’s why they decided to keep me as a contractor after my internship.

I’ve been approached my by company that one of our large clients (who im currently project managing for) is looking for a consultant of sorts, and if they hire us, I’d be the first person asked to take on this consultant role. This isn’t something my company typically offers and would greatly change the scope of my role. Has anyone ever taken on a role like this?
