OP, take whatever comes your way with a positive attitude for the first 6-8 months (only thing you should be solving for are projects that are appropriately challenging that will help you get reps in and build your toolkit and skill). This helps you upskill and build goodwill fast, then pivot to stuff you personally like after the fact. Being picky right off the bat, especially if you don’t come in with a built out toolkit, can bite you in the foot (e.g., underperforming on a CST you care about/build a bad reputation, unstaffed and not upskilling bc no availability in the industry/practice you like while your peers get ahead, weaker brand compared to others after x amount of time because you were picky on the sidelines). Trust me, focusing on developing skills agnostic of any practice is always the best bet, then pivot.
Not in MBB but I’d probably say going with the first projects that are available to you. Getting the experience of industries you’re not familiar with is always a good look.
Congratulations!
Strategy always better. More of a grind but def more fun
Yeah ngl i misread but idk how to delete my comment lmao
Congratulations. I used to work there. Be prepared for some rowdy nights, some sexy people, and always remember where you last left your wallet. Wear a rubber!
I had this really rowdy night at the office one time where—get this—I had a beer while I finished making my pages at 1am. I know, insane
What M1 said. First couple weeks are just training
