It’s a tough time in the industry, no question. I’ve seen colleagues land full-time jobs after long gaps, so it’s not impossible. Sometimes freelancing opens unexpected doors too.
I'm sorry to hear that. It's hard to find anything steady and stable in any industry these days. I wouldn't give up on journalism altogether because of this, but I wouldn't shut the door on trying something new either. Freelancing might be your best option right now, both to get back to working and to potentially get your foot in the door somewhere new.
I am sorry you are going through that. Journalism has been brutal lately. Freelance can feel unstable, but it also gives you a way to stay in the game and build connections while looking for steady work.
Sorry to hear that. I love freelancer because you have more control over your income, and while it can be scary so is working in an uneven office surrouned by cuts. Try freelance, afterall you have nothing to lose!
