I love looking at an empty calendar. Spent this week organizing files and shared drives. It's nice when things slow down enough for you to dust off your to-do items that you never get around to in a normal week.

I am not going to lie, I am the same way. I love when my to do list and my calendar are totally empty. I was able to get caught up on a lot of things this week.

I didn't have quite the same experience. Things were really busy for us right up to the last hour, so they will be kicking off just as chaotic in the new year.

Nice! Mine has a bunch of standing meetings that no one bothered to cancel (or attend)

Has anyone else worked two programming roles at one time?
I currently work as a Contracted Software Engineer and I’m set to finish my contracted time at the end of October. To stay ahead of game I started to move forward in the interview process with another opportunity as an Application Software Programmer and just received notification that I got the position. I definitely could use the extra paycheck to help out with my financial obligations. Just wanted to see if anyone has done this before.

This might be too ambiguous to answer, but I want to get better at taking iniative, but I don't know how. I can be pretty shy in work settings. I do things without being told, but I want to go beyond that like start projects etc. Provide more value.
