Use your MBA to pivot industries. If you want to make more money you’ll have to leave the nonprofit world.
Is the MBA full or part time? If FT, focus on getting a good internship in a target industry. If PT, plan on going through FT recruiting in your last year so that you can move elsewhere.
That’s definitely tough. But if money is your goal then you need to pivot.
Focus on networking and fall recruiting right now.
Is your company willing/able to help pay you for your education?
No they will pay about $400 a year for conferences or other development things though. I’m almost done w grad school though

My advice skip the MBA if you’re planning on going into debt for it and pivot out of non profit and you’ll make director and six figure salary easily.
MBA doesn’t give the ROI like it used to and there’s plenty of high paying roles that don’t require it.
