I had the first drug test requirement ever 2 years ago and this was right after some serious family issues during the pandemic where I took a lot of CBD full spectrum to manage my greif and anxiety. I am a remote worker but my company HQ was located in a state where CBD was not legal yet, so naturallyI freaked out! Thankfully my test showed no THC but I had to be prepared with a justification in case it registered. I think understanding or researching HR employment laws would not hurt and you are not the first or last person to ever worry about tris. Good luck.
Thanks! I also take CBD. so we'll see. I guess if I ask and they say no, then it wasn't for me anyway!
Drug testing only tests for "illegal substances." They do not report/test for things you are taking legally. This means if you have a prescription for the substance, it shouldn't appear on the report, even if you test positive. However, definitely contact the lab and ask, and check out the laws in your state.
I saw in the news recently that Home Depot is removing marijuana from their testing requirements. There's hope yet!
