I miss building things. I’ve moved up, taken on more strategy, more meetings, more leadership, and less code. It’s supposed to be a good thing, but some days I just miss shipping stuff and seeing the impact right away. I feel like I’ve moved further from the part of tech that made me fall in love with it. Has anyone made the jump back to being a builder? Or found a way to balance both?

I think I’m about to get my first experience of getting in trouble with a partner for work that I actually already sent for review and followed up on multiple times (and brought up during calls). Stay tuned… 😑

Seeking advice: I am a young sales consultant and sales engineer working for a tech startup company. I have 6 years of sales experience. And I have been helping run my family business for the past 10 years. I was intially interviewed for a senior account executive position at a $70k offer. Instead they told me I needed more training and hired me as a Junior account executive at a $50k salary + commission. Today is my 6th month mark and I have done very well. I hold an offer of 18LPA from KPMG with joining date of 7th September. (Wfh)
I applied at Workday on 15th May and went through 7 technical rounds of interview and received a verbal offer letter of 21LPA (hybrid)
Now apparently their technical panel "forgot" about the interview and wants to have a discussion again as 8th technical interview. HR says their joining date will be 19th September.

Should i join KPMG?

While joining, the company says.. Congratulations, here is your offer letter. Kindly confirm your acceptance over email. As the last step you have to sign the OL "on the date of your joining."

Ques: Is signing OL on the date of joining a normal thing to do? On what basis should I be confident to tell my current org that I am leaving. What if they revoke?

What base salary/ total comp to expect for a Sr PM in Toronto in today’s market?

I was looking at PM roles only that were around $110k, one company approached me with Sr PM (title bump) at $110k. I’m getting scheduled for final interview loop next week with this company and planning to negotiate if an offer is extended from them. I did tell them that I’m at final stage with other companies so they can expect multiple offer situation from me. Advice?
