Those looking for content, strongly recommend Rebels and Clone Wars series if you haven’t seen them already… I just got into Rebels and it’s excellent. Perhaps cartoon format gives some perception about it, but the story line is amazing!!! Disney has more screen time to explain things… for example I didn’t know a light saber has a knob to change the length, or all the details about inquisitors (which we see a little off in the Kenobi trailer)

I'm in Oklahoma, and an avid Aldi shopper. Prior to COVID, my favorite merlot was routinely stocked there - under $6 a bottle and better than many $30 bottles I've had. It was by Burlwood Cellars. Sadly, supply chain issues have apparently done a number on Aldi's wine selection and it's not carried there anymore. I've searched high and low for a comparable merlot, but to no avail. So I need alternate suggestions or better still, somewhere I can buy my old fav.

PSA - We are headed into a self-imposed economic slow down. Now is not the time to lateral but if you do, I would make sure you are at a recession-proof practice or firm. The top law firms will be okay (they always are) but if you are part of a larger group of associates with no work, you are likely to be axed. Latham did it in the 2008 and 2011 and it will happen again. If you are an associate or really anyone but a rainmaker, you are expendable.

Why can't a placement agent combine or integrate the offering of interests in the sponsor's fund with the contemporaneous offering of interests in another fund? I’m in the process of interviewing for an associate position at biglaw. They sent me a form asking what my class year is with regards to my current position. My current position is at a law firm, but I’m a staff attorney and not an associate and I’ve never been classified by class year. Any idea what to fill in here?

Thoughts on recording meetings. In Texas and have ADHD. I’ve been recording internal meetings for the past couple of weeks and my work product has improved exponentially. I’m able to go back and listen to the directions over again. In law school I had a note that gave me permission to do this. Is this taboo in a firm?
