Sounds like you answered your own question. "Love" vs. "shitty car"
Maybe take a step back and look at cars that fit a similar bill? Small, nifty, etc. Sounds like you're another bike away from getting put out of order again
I wanted to say go with what makes sense to you, but if that decision is another bike, be very cautious when you start riding again. As a fellow rider with 10+ years of experience and have ridden about every type of bike except those heavy cruisers, I’ll say motorcycle accidents are a matter of when and not if, no matter how careful you are, given all the hazards around you and the close to nonexistent protections you have compared to a metal cage that is a car. I have been in two serious crashes, neither one my fault, but it did change the way I ride and how I consider other vehicles that share the road with me.
Also I want to mention that certain aspects of the riding experience can be replicated in a small and nimble sports car. A used Miata or 86/BRZ can be as cheap as a sport bike nowadays. It won’t be the same, but you are indeed safer in a car should anything go wrong.

You managed to put yourself “out of order” within 6 months of riding.
Odds are high you will kill yourself on a bike.
Is it worth it? I stopped riding when I had kids.
Shitty car for commuting and bad weather, bike for fair weather fun?
A car
What is your primary purpose? Transport? Fun? Do you ever want passengers or to go on road trips? Does weather impact your ability to take a bike out?
Buy what makes you happy but also consider the utility you may need.
I've never ridden a bike, but I'd think you could get a similar experience with a small, quick convertible. The Miata is surprisingly fun to drive and doesn't cost a ton. Plus it's pretty good on gas.
Having said that, it sounds like you've already made up your mind with the "shitty car" comment
I love Miata’s and have driven a family members ND2 extensively. The Miata is arguably the closest regular car to the experience being small, light, open-air, etc
I also ride motorcycles and the experience is not even remotely similar in my eyes. It’s difficult to compare single track vehicles like motorcycles to multi track vehicles because the physics in how they operate are so different.
Miata
Dude, you can't live your life according to someone else's beliefs. You've got a lot of people on here telling you to reconsider your life. Here's more truth. There are 30+ year smokers out there still going strong and there are marathon runners who die of a heart attack in their 20s. I've known guys to drive like an idiot and never seem to crash and others who crash their bike by just sitting on it. Yes, its true that you can mitigate risk, but that is it. You have to assess yourself. You got bucked. What now? You going to get back on? Yes or no doesn't really matter so long as you are honest with yourself. The mere fact that you are asking the question I think in speaking to a fear in you now. 6 mths is no joke. You have no reason to berate yourself if you decide to call it. But seriously, you need to make your decision. Don't let someone else make it for you. Those are the decisions you regret.

I would argue that OP is only 18 and extremely immature based on the post so he needs to listen to someone else’s guidance and grow up a bit before getting back out there.
