I had an old Discovery 2 for a few years but sold it at the beginning of the year when the value popped up
The newest car I own left the factory in 1988. But I like modernizing and working on my own cars. Getting ready to overhaul and modernize a 1979 Corvette next year.
I got a 2005 GX470. I needed something with a back seat and I wanted it to be reliable and didn’t want to pay for depreciation.
Overall happy with it, but I def miss having a sports car. I got it for $10k with 105k miles last year. It’s worth more now and I love the fact that I don’t have to worry about scratches or dings. I am happy that I don’t have a payment anymore because honestly it stays parked 6 days out of the week. It drinks lots of gas but I fill it up once every 3 weeks or so. I also live in Virginia and only pay $200 a year in taxes on it versus the $1100 for my previous car.
It’s actually a Prado chassis and body. But ya, they are very similar vehicles.
Im driving a huge Expedition. Like twice a week to the grocery store and three months put of the year all over the US with the family.
