I need to get out of law. I’ve tried for 2 years to go in-house with no luck. Any recruiters you all recommend that help transition attorneys out of private practice? I’m a 5th year commercial litigation associate. I handle general corporate, contract, and business tort related disputes for small-midsize companies by way of background.

Advice needed on handing in notice, I recently signed an offer letter and understand the screening process takes 4-6 weeks. I have a month's notice period and have agreed a preliminary start date in Feb.

I was planning on not handing my notice in until the checks had been completed so its all secured (not that I think I will fail any checks), but apparently I need a reference from my current employer not previous ones. Can't really do this without handing in notice can I?

Does anyone knows notice period in Hexaware during probation period. They have not mentioned anything on offer letter though .

First in my family to go to college, parent is abusive so I have no safety net & had no help. Worked full time all through college & still graduated with 30k in debt. Hardest part of navigating maternity leave and WLB as a junior partner?

How are 1st year litigation associates dealing with WFH? I’ve been having terrible anxiety/panic attacks, and pretty sure my billables wont exceed 110 for April. I’ve been super stressed about it and don’t know how to move on to May with the proper mindset to make up for as much time missed as possible. CA courts are still closed, and I’m worried I won’t be able to exceed (or even meet) my May goal after April.

I’m so bad at writing the background/ facts section for briefs… it always gets heavily edited and no one is giving me constructive feedback other than “advocate more”. In contrast, my legal argument section is generally without edits. For context, first defense lit job post appellate clerkship. Is this normal??
