I newly joined Capgemini. I see Sapience buddy tool that helps in personal time management available in Capgemini. It’s not enabled in my project or system I guess. I read stories that once it’s enabled, it sends reports to manager and for us about working hours and deducts leaves or salary if not maintained 5 or 8 working hours in a day. I’m interested to use the tool personally. Does still Capgemini uses it to do micromanagement? Is it ok now to ask to enable it for personal use? Capgemini
I was working in FISERV and Sapience buddy is used here it’s micromanagement tool and manager use it to track all you activities like which application you used and how much u worked on which task / app or on meeting , they organisation add or remove application or url in the list of productivity . If you are opening and using activity those tools then only it will count productivity and if you are working and not typing any key or moving mouse it will count as non productive time and it’s very hard sometime to maintain 6-7 hrs of productive so it’s unnecessarily adding burden on developers also your manager will keep asking questions by pulling out reports. I don’t think why are u so keen to get installed such micromanaging tool 😅
Some report on where my time goes and based on it suggestions is actually helpful for me. 😅 But I don’t like it to be used by my manager to control my activities. 😁
