Glad that you're already excited and it's great to work in the NGO. Try and get a feel for the way the org outwardly presents itself and then consider what's going on internally. Finding the right candidate usually means finding someone who has the former and latter attitudes.
Thank you for the kind feedback. I appreciate it!
Congrats on the new role! Glad to hear that it's been a great experience thus far. HRM1 made a great suggestion. I'd also consider looking at existing recruiting resources and material (if they exist at all - you mentioned the org is small), and consider how you can improve them.
Thank you for your kind feedback. I’ll look into current practices and will partner up with other recruiters as well to see in what ways we can improve.
Congratulations on your new role!
Congratulations on the new role! Take this introductory period of time to observe and acclimate to the way things are done in the organization. Identifying areas and processes which can be improved with an external viewpoint is incredibly valuable to the organization but remember that you may not be the first person to notice some of these things and there may be internal political reasons behind some of the challenges. Therefore, keep note of all areas you believe change would be beneficial and then research further to back up your assessment. Once you’re confident with your findings and have understood the culture, it is much easier to begin discussing and leading change. Also, ask questions as much as possible - take this time to learn the organization well!
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback. I’m looking forward to developing those relationships with my colleagues.
