Joined this week. What can I expect from Mr V
Hey Sharks, I joined in verizon india last april, i got moved to new project at july end. I have 2.5 years of experience in java,springboot, Micrservices architecture. But in my new team deployed in a support project. Feeling depressed and frustrated. asked manager 2 times to change my responsibility. But he's accepting in call but not doing what he is promised. Please suggest what can i do here. Does droppeing paper is a good solution? Please suggest. Thanks in advance.Verizon

Directors, ADs, and senior managers often seem more focused on creating pressure, toxicity, and micromanagement for developers and testers than actually supporting teams. Employees are expected to work weekends and late nights till 2 AM, while leadership rarely shares the same burden. Even when they join calls, many stay silent while teams sacrifice their personal lives and health.
Shameless Managers need to understand that continuous weekend work and burnout are not sustainable. Despite all the extra effort, employees are rewarded with layoffs or penny hikes.
Verizon Value org an extremely toxic environment with poor work-life balance and constant pressure from upper management. Accountability should exist at the top as well — not just for employees at the ground level.next round should also evaluate all director and management within the Value organisation. Hail Karma !!

Lots of them weren't necessary. When I joined 4 years ago, we still had AD, Dir, and Sr.Dir. but the count was less. I think only 1 AD for the whole SAP team. When I left, we had 4 of 5. The increasing head count shouldn't be a reason because back in my previous company, we had 1 manager for 100+ developers but 10+ leads who were very helpful. It's very different in VZ and basically unnecessary.
