Hello Sharks, I recently gave interview of Tiger Analytics and after all successful technical discussion, they were offering me Senior analytics - data Science role for 15.5 fixed + 2L jb, considering my current yoe 4.3 and in data science relevant is not much(consider it 1.5+) but my cctc is 14(13fixed+1 variable), I denied to accept this offer. Should I reconsider that?

What's the salary range for a director at the Gilead Sciences foundation? There is a position perfect for me, but I don't want to throw my hat in the ring if starting salary isn't $180-190k. Also, any thoughts on the stability of their philanthropic commitment? There's talk of a recession; I don't want to go private to be cute a few months later.
What should my requested salary be for a Senior Intelligence Analyst position with CrowdStrike ? I have a bachelors degree and 5 years of experience as an intelligence analyst. Current salary is 56k in NC, but when I was in DC I was making 86k (big locality change)… which makes me confused on what I should expect for a remote job.

I started shifting my investments to index funds that screen for social impact. I figured I could still invest without directly propping up companies I disagree with. Not perfect, but it feels like a step in the right direction.
I wouldn’t feel great about it, but I’d feel much worse if it was hurting myself in the long term. Unfortunate truth is that lots of companies probably are doing something or have done something you wouldn’t agree with. The pros and cons of making money and big business.
Boohoo! Quit being a sore loser. He’s still your President
You're so ugly.
Go to therapy.
I’m a federal employee as well. How are you targeted? I go to work. I do my job. I send the weekly “5 bullet” email. And I get paid. If you are not happy where you work, no one is twisting your arm.
Perfect example of a sheep following the crowd. Can't even think for yourself.
I don't disagree with how you feel, but a lot of companies were leaned on to donate to the inauguration. I believe in boycotts, but if we start boycotting the companies who gave to the inaugural fund, I'm not sure where that ends. I know that's not a very satisfying answer. I would avoid companies whose leaders made a public show of obeisance to the administration. But selling stock over the inaugural fund seems like a self-defeating move, especially as the stock prices have been pushed lower by the trade war chaos. Selling now out of principle will be costly.
You're going to have a hard time only investing in companies that you ideologically align with. It's something a lot of us deal with, honestly. If it's really bothering you and you can't let it go, you could always sell and reinvest that money into something that you truly believe in.
I would sell the stock and donate a portion of it to The Trevor project or something similar.
I feel great about what this administration is doing. Last summer my neighbor who is a government guy spent all summer building a shop in his back yard. About time the government start running more efficiently. Too many people (not all) not accomplishing much during the week.
Best return possible
Yes, absolutely. I will not be pushed onto the wrong side of history, frankly. And my moral ground means a lot to me. I'd sell it in a hot minute, even at a loss. It's stressful and to have that weighing on me would just not be something I could do. You're not alone either. I've known others who dumped the stock of such companies as a form of voting their conscious.
You sound like an adult petulant child that is suffering from TDS. Do you own any Apple product? Apple donated to Trump.
Do you own or use and Google products? They donated to Trump. Do you own any Microsoft products? They donated to Trump. Just stop virtue signaling and live your best life. Trump will be out of office in less than four years.
