What should my requested salary be for a Senior Intelligence Analyst position with CrowdStrike ? I have a bachelors degree and 5 years of experience as an intelligence analyst. Current salary is 56k in NC, but when I was in DC I was making 86k (big locality change)… which makes me confused on what I should expect for a remote job.

Where is your current location? If you are still in DC then at least that. But also have to look at where the company is HQ’d. If anything ask high for what it would take to leave your current job and let them counter. If they agree first request, you asked too low.

like

Yeah OSINT doesnt pay well.

Current salary is 56k is way less. Restaurant or retail store managers make more than that! So you are definitely getting sucked here! 56k is 2003-2005 salary

like

The best part is… I got an 11% raise this year “to keep up with industry standards.”

I’m glad I’m looking for another company to work with.

Am I understanding utilization rate correctly? It’s chargeable time over total time? Charged 40 hours and had 10 hours non-charge so my utilization is 80%? If so, wouldn’t it benefit me to understate non-charge hours so my utilization is higher since they only really care about chargeable time anyways? Charge 40 hours still but only put 5 hours non-charge for utilization to be 89% instead of 80%? Or am I misunderstanding how utilization works?

Do you feel that in SEO there are too many ways of conducting the same tasks. I have had a string of managers within the past year, it’s starting to get very annoying as each person says method A is wrong and B is right, another manager would have the complete opposite view. Have you had similar experiences when this practice and adjustment begins to interfere with client deliverables.

Interviewed for a GS-15 (same agency but different office) and totally aced the interview with excellent answers. They know I’m a top performer with senior references. However I noticed there was an internal candidate who has been there for few years and interviewed that’s a veteran. I feel my chances just sank and want to gauge thoughts.

A HR question I really want to understand. ISRS HR quoted a podcast "The not so great resignation" saying 70% regret leaving and many want to go back to old employer. If this really the case the employee likely left due to higher pay at the new company. If they want to boomerang back they will likely come back at even a higher rate than they left the new company for. So getting double raise when they boomeranged. Isn't it unbeneficial, why not just give employee a 7% raise in the first place?
