You need to move on. Time spent chasing your old job is time that should be spent applying and interviewing.
You showed them how little you care, and no apology is going to change that.

Short work history doesn’t look good, as someone who has interviewed people for employment. It shows lack of dependability, consistency, and dedication. You need to have clear and good reasons for leaving, and not just my boss said don’t worry about it. That sounds like the boss didn’t want to bother with you and ready for you to leave. Almost like a relief that you were quitting. Think from the perspective of the person who has to be responsible for other people, they are not looking for another problem to have to deal with.
