Wanted to highlight Prudential Financial’s hiring practices. They rescinded my offer once I attempted to negotiate the salary. The official reason given was that I didn’t “sound excited enough”.
They then admittedly gave the offer to someone who was less qualified. There were other red flags throughout the job offer process that the HR team should overall be ashamed of.

Without knowing your actual financial situation, I’m going to presume you’re on a tight budget. While further education can be a good investment, you really want to make sure you have a source of income. You don’t want to come out of schooling with a load of debt and no job.
I’d recommend you look for any paying relevant experience, even if it’s not what you want long term. Many degrees can be done online/after hours so you can get work experience, have an income, and continue you education at the same time.
You may find you have an easier time switching jobs with some actual work experience.
