I interviewed at Google and cleared all onsite interviews back in July. Then came the hiring freeze and my role was de-prioritized. Now I'm being called for another position which I applied through the same recruiter before for the same group but different role. My question is will Google reuse the positive feedback and will it help/add value to this new position?

Recruiter is trying to negotiate bringing me on as SC at 3 YOE on an agile project because C level is paying significantly less than my current comp. Caveat is that I’m on the fast track to M by late 2021 at my current (but slightly less reputable) firm which would bring me to at least 120k. Trying to gauge what comp to expect w/ Deloitte offer (currently at 102k for reference) and if I should just wait for promo.

Asking advice from a recruiter: I’ve been recently laid off :( This week I took some time to reflect, talk to friends and family. I want to be more thoughtful on my next move and although interviewing right away would be logical I feel I want to take a break and some time for myself. Take a month or two off working and use that time to plan thoughtfully on my next move. Would having that gap in my resume be an issue when I go back to the job market?
