I was 35 when I graduated, it's just a number and you're just as qualified as someone in their 20s but with more life experience to share!
You will learn… you have wisdom. I’ve traveled in my 50s… still do! I know my worth. Know yours! I sometimes work with novice nurses who could be my children. Just because they are younger doesn’t make you any less valuable! I have worked in many different settings. The one thing that I will always stick to when giving advice is, start on a med-surg unit for at least 6 months.. a year if you can. This will give you the basics before you wander into a specialty. That’s what I did. Now, I’m marketable in multiple settings. Good luck in your future endeavors!
You are not alone. I just passed NCLEX as a 36yo. Keep at it.

I started my nursing career at 36 and wisdom counts for a lot. I am not as computer savvy as the younger nurses, but my patient care is compassionate and ethical. I recently felt ridiculed by a nurse manager that is young enough to be my granddaughter for not “catching on quickly” to a computer system I had little training on. I left that job for work with more mature nurses. No regret. You are fantastic!
That comes from their experience. You will get there. We all was once there.
