I have $100k from an annuity invested with Schwab and managed by a brokerage firm. My parents set me all up with this when I got access to the funds at age 21. So I’m not sure of the complete breakdown other than the fact that it’s diversified according to my tolerance for risk

Have you thought about why PM interview experience is totally different than the actual PM job ? I recently left the gov’t for private practice with a M&A group. How does everyone bill when you are thinking about how to structure it and what docs need to get drafted? I’m learning that billing is an art so any canned language would be great!

Curious as to how many deals at once is typical for a first year associate to take on (M&A, mostly private equity clients). Deal size is lower middle market and I’ve worked on deals ranging from $1-$110M. 2 deals at once is plenty for me, but it seems like my peers are able to take on more than that at once and still do fine. Maybe I’m just a slow learner/out of my league at the big law firm I’m at.
