As someone who really isn’t thrilled about AI taking over, I’ll admit seeing those job growth predictions is frustrating. It feels like every new role that pops up in AI is just another reminder of jobs being replaced. I get that industries evolve, but it’s hard to fully celebrate when the shift feels like it’s leaving so many people behind. Honestly, I’d rather see companies invest in upskilling the current workforce instead of obsessing over hiring for the latest AI buzzword roles. Anyone else feel the same?
I agree!
I'm interested in AI for a variety of reasons, but I never know what to make of stats like that. It sounds like something an AI tool hallucinated, to be honest. I think a lot of jobs touch upon AI, including my own to some extent. And that will probably continue to be the case going forward. But saying it's an AI related role probably overstates things.
True, it's hard to interpret such statements
I’m not in an AI-specific role, but it does feel like AI is creeping into everything lately! I’ve started upskilling with some AI tools just to stay relevant. Curious to hear from people directly in AI roles though.. what’s your day-to-day like?
AI is coming for everything but we'll have to see what truly sticks
In 10 years this will all stabilize as AI jobs will no longer be in fashion
