6 months and start with how much money you’ve brought in.
I should mention we were stable at 300k per month, now doing almost 700k per month.
op if you’re a manager you should be making at LEAST 100k??? i have friends at entry level making the same number as you. you’re severely underpaid. get that bag girl✨
One question comes to mind, how is the performance evals set up at your company…do they have a 6 month and an annual eval? If they have a 6 month evaluation period this would go in your favor. If not, that is okay too. If you decide to proceed with asking for an increase, I recommend putting everything in writing. It’s best to have a written letter (this can be in an email format as well) stating you are asking for a salary increase and provide the reasons why you are asking for it.
You mentioned that you increased sales, provide this in your writing and provide evidence of that. Anything that you have done for the betterment of the company document that and provide proof of that. In your email or letter, finalize it with that you would like to schedule a time to speak further. This will give him/her the opportunity to actually speak with you and then you can present everything you sent in email to him/her.
Good luck! Remember to stay calm, cool, and collected!
First, congratulations on your hard work! Second, I would go ahead at 3 months and just do a toe dip: schedule a meeting with your manager to get feedback and let them know you feel confident about your performance and what you you will continue to bring to them. Communicate that you’re looking forward to having a follow-up conversation at your 6-month mark to discuss your salary. This gives you a chance to gauge the reaction now instead of waiting and it also allows them time to prepare for your raise etc. if they don’t see the value you bring and are immediately receptive to your intentions, you should start looking elsewhere.
Why did you not negotiate your salary when coming in?
