I wouldn’t say lost sleep but definitely a lot of anxiety. I try to preoccupy myself with other things

Yes to the anxiety, phew!
You have to find a positive way to release that tension. Otherwise, it will stay in your body. The book, “The Body Keeps The Score..” is a great reference. You can journal the interactions and/or document them by occurrence. That way, it’s off your chest and out of your mind. Those thoughts need a placement. Don’t let these toxic co-workers live in your mind rent-free.
Anyone who has gone through any kind of trauma this book is the one to read. I cannot tell you how many times I have seen it recommended. I haven’t got to it yet, but it makes complete sense so if you’re going through these types of things you’ve had a job lossor other types of losses definitely read this book.
Tons of anxiety and waking up in cold sweats reliving certain situations 🫣

I have nightmares of my real life office days.

I am sorry to hear that.

Yep. Wish I’d left sooner. Hope you get out!

Thank you!
Daily. Looking to exit but I have family to support so just can’t up and quit.

Yes, exactly! It’s infuriating.
Office politics can be frustrating. It's helpful to reflect and listen to input or second and third opinions from people who “sit at your table” - but only if you’re confident their advice is objective and not just supportive of your side.
I managed to escape office politics two years ago when I landed a great job opportunity, and I’ve never looked back.
If your workplace becomes too toxic, make an exit plan and keep networking. Don’t quit until you have another job lined up.
Toxic jobs? Sure even toxic bosses, but once my body told me I wasn’t getting enough sleep. I stopped doing it. I found other tools to take over what my mind is thinking about so I’m able to get back to sleep. Don’t let shit like this take you to a worsestate of health.

Period. Thanks for the reminder.
Toxic environments are the worst. Increased anxiety, lack of sleep and loss of appetite. Keep searching, hopefully you land something much more healthy.

Thanks so much! Fingers crossed.
All the time. I just retired in June bc I had to get out due to toxic mgt, but I still have high anxiety and continue to go over conversations I had this past yr. I know I didn’t handle things well. I just need to let it go but it’s hard
Please go look out online and do some research because literally these conversations are over for you. You’ve retired. Do not let Work creep into your life these days, it’s supposed to be what you’ve worked for your whole life. You can’t change them you’re definitely aware of them, but don’t let them affect you.
Go do some research about that part of your anxiety or go get yourself a therapist. Either one or both will get those conversations out of your head so you can start living your life.
