I was just replying to another post and realized that none of the interviews I've had over the past 4 months have asked to go through my portfolio during the meeting. Last time I job searched 10 yrs ago, they all did. Is this normal? Its been literally 30 minutes of asking me hardcore questions and nothing else. :( is it because all interviews are now virtual?

Sick of writing emails client-side all day and can’t seem to get into an agency. What’s another career path for a copywriter? Getting too old to try and become a teacher or anything.

Any copywriters (in branding/otherwise) currently report to a strategist instead of a CD? Trying to have an open mind about them approving copy without judgement but it’s like pulling teeth for me.

I don't know if this is a recent change but I’m seeing postings for junior copywriter/community manager roles. Have these roles always been attached or posted at a junior level? Is this merged role worth considering as someone young in the industry with more traditional intern and freelance copy experience.
