I was reading a really interesting article about how launching products during a recession is, in a very unobvious way, a strategic time. For low-cost products like snacks, it's because, in tough times, such products are affordable pleasures that consumers will allow themselves, and for luxury products, because wealthy people are usually the ones least affected by downtimes.
