I have offers from Broadcom and SSIR . Salary of Broadcom is higher than SSIR but mostly dependant on Rsu. Any idea about wlb and quality of work in both companies? YOE: 3.5 with M.tech from tier 1 college. Working in hardware domain. @Broadcom @Samsung @Nvidia @Qualcomm @AMD @Intel Corporation

It depends on YoE and the company itself, although most of them claim to be following industry standards. And even within the company within the same band there can be ±20-30% difference. Usually companies giving a huge CTC will also have have stock with lock in period of 3 years.
In general terms, in 2022, for a semiconductor/ VLSI product company, depending on college, experience, relevance, knowledge, previous compensation, luck, etc, the gross salaries should be:
Bachelor's fresher - 7-10L
3-5 years experience - 10-15L
5-8 years experience - 15-20L
Master's freshers - 11-14L
3-5 years experience - 14-19L
5-8 years experience - 19-24L
Gross salary I mentioned includes bonus, not stocks. A wide range based on my observation in Bangalore.
