I recently interviewed for L7 EM at Google and had 4 great interviews and one not so great system design. I submitted external referrals all of which gave great feedback. The recruiter said the next step is team match/interviews and then the HC. Anyone in a similar situation? What was the result? Google

Gonna level with you, I do drop the ball from time to time. And it doesn't eat me up because most days, I'm great at both. Nowhere close to perfect, but I do enough to know I'm a solid worker and - more importantly - a good dad.

You just called out exactly what I've been avoiding. I'm exhausting myself trying to keep every single ball in the air instead of just accepting that some are rubber and can bounce. Appreciate the reality check.

I think it's hard to transition between modes. It's important to balance both and not let one overflow and effect the other.
When it comes to picking one over the other, I do my best to pick my family over work. Finding that balance is hard, and sometimes it's impossible. I keep telling myself to do the best I can, even best I can do is not as good as I would like sometimes.
