I was supposed to be off at 9, but ended up leaving close to 10:30 because we were slammed. No one forced me — it just felt like the right thing to do. How do you draw the line between being a team player and protecting your time?

I have to do the same. It’s draining after a while. I’d say set a limit for yourself, especially if you’re not salary. If you’re hourly, you should feel even less obligated to stay. If you’re going to stay and help, limit it to a certain amount of time and after that, head out. I promise you, the sacrifice is more often not worth it.

You’re a manager you essentially act like an owner. You’re protecting the companies, profitability and investment by your actions. So if you have to stay late, you have to stay late. It’s just the way it goes.

Where you working past your 8hrs? If so be careful All to often if you stay without being asked you'll end up in trouble for getting overtime .. so your time ends up being only a part of the problem nothing like doing something to help the Team and then getting in trouble for it Later . If under your 8 hrs then Yeah that's how it goes and I'm hopeful that everyone thanked you for helping out.. and the extra money is a plus as well :)

Any nurses here not have hospital experience? I work as a community nurse and have previous experience in an assisted living and clinic. I don’t have much interest in going to the hospital. Been a nurse for about 9 years. Started out as LPN and now I have small children and enjoy my flexibility. Any regrets for those that never did the hospital ?

Hey folks, need some help. I cleared all my interview rounds and had completed the documentation too. However for more than two weeks the status on the portal is "offer initiated". The HR says the delay is happening because the people who need to approve are on leave. Are they playing around or keeping on hold? Do they actually release offer after this much delay? Please share if you know anything about it.

Guys i am switching jobs for first time so need your help
Company x offered me 9 LPA
Company y offered 11 LPA

I want to join company x more due to their tech stack, culture etc. It's also an established product based company while y is service based.
How do I initiate negotiations with x? I have plenty of time left in notice, but x also requested to join early (if previous company releases, with buyout+bonus) for which I have discussions next Wednesday.
