Hi Folks, I submitted documents 2 weeks ago for BGV in Tech Mahindra. I have not got any response so far from HR. However, last week they scheduled another interview and dropped me email just before 15 mins, yet i joined the interview but no one joined from their end. Now, HR is not responding. What should I understand from this case? Am I rejected? Tech Mahindra Tata Consultancy

I believe it varies by company.. Like some company will give you Gratuity if you are leaving after 4yrs 8month but some will give only if you complete 5yrs..
Well this is my observation in different offer letters.
No, it doesn't. It's fixed by government
It's better to check what was mentioned in your offer letter
if you have worked for at least 240 days on your 5th year at a company, law says you get it.
You must complete 5 years - stick to your company for another 2 months

Yess
It does not vary with company even if they state in offer letter, it's governed by local laws and if you complete exactly those number of days you are eligible to get. You can contest if the company states otherwise.
Ok sounds like i will be eligible for graduity . I will also go through the offer letter if it states anything related to graduity
You should serve 490days to get the gratuity 😊
if an employee worked for 4 years and 8 months, the duration is considered as 5 years of continues service and he is eligible for gratuity.
However, if the employee has worked for 4 years and 4 months, it is treated as less than 5 years and no gratuity will be payable to an employee.
Yes
You are eligible
