You can always try! The worst they could say is no and you would be in the same position you are in now.

Being in a place where I regret taking a job in the past and leaving a great company, I would encourage you to go back as quickly as possible. And depending on how much you want, be ready because they may take advantage of the situation.
Umm. . Depends. Did they try hard to retain you before you left? Or were they like "Cool!"?
My advice is to take the skills you have and he go to the supply chain side. Nothing motivates you more to keep looking for a better position than a toxic manager. I've worked in 20/40/53 intermodal, highway, cross border CAN/MX. I haven't found more peace/less stress than being on the customer side. It's up to you, but don't step any steps backward if you can avoid it. Toxic management is like dealing with mean customers, once you establish you know what you're doing, they'll back off. Make sure it makes sense money-wise. Toughen up and push through, you'll find something.
My advice would be, if you left in a cool/respectable manner then they shouldn't have any issues bringing you back. Just be careful in the future to never burn bridges. You never know who you will interact with in the future.
The worst that can happen is they say no. Just do it as quickly as possible. Don't waste any time. The key is to be honest with yourself and with your old company. Be honest about why you left and why you want to come back a. And be honest about what you've learned and how you've grown.
