I worked as an administrative assistant for a company and it sucked. Because there was micromanagement, and no proper training. It was a fairly new company.

I've worked for more traditional companies and those can drive you crazy. The answer to just about anything is always, "But that's the way we've always done it." Stuff like that can drive you crazy, but in a strange way it might be better than working for a newish company. Tradition can be annoying, but at least you get some proper training and you tend to know where you stand.

One of the best things about working for a new company is that they are at least open to new ideas. If they are micromanaging and don’t even know how to train people, that is hard to deal with.

Most titles I've found interesting are along the "medical assistants" role, but don't fit the bill cause I don't have an MA license
