I worked at this store for a little over 3 years, and one of the wildest parts was watching some of the regulars’ babies literally grow up in front of me.
Like, I remember one mom coming in with a newborn in a carrier and by the time I left, that same kid was walking, talking, and helping her pick stuff out.
When you stay in one place long enough, you really do start to feel like a tiny part of people’s everyday lives.

I interviewed for KPMG on 11/15 for a Senior role and the HR emailed me on 11/16 that everyone liked me but they think I should be hired as an Experienced Associate. I had a call with the HR on 11/17 wherein we discussed about my salary expectations and the HR said he will get back in a day. It’s been more than 10 days and multiple follow ups but still no response. I don’t think I was rude while talking to the HR, I just told my current salary and asked for min. that no. Did i miss the chance ?

I think volunteering as a family can help install the value of giving back and zakaat. How can one make Ramadan and Eid something to look forward to when holidays like Christmas seem to be purely joyous occasion that one doesn’t have to put in work for like fasting for Ramadan?

Back when I was getting started in the food world, I worked flipping burgers at In-n-Out. A man came in and said the burgers he had gotten weren’t right. He dumped the food on the counter and then he started throwing them back behind the counter. We gave him a refund and then his demeanor completely changed. He was calmer and he told us to have a great day as he left us to clean up the mess he made.
