Looking for help from a freelance copywriter/copy editor who is a native Spanish speaker. The job is for transadaptation of a public health campaign we are working on. Looking like it will be around 20 hours over the course of the next few months as final assets are approved in English and then require the transadaptation. Please email me if interested! Whoever extends the invite should pay

Absolutely, partner could very well could snatch that bill when it comes but don't sit there waiting for that.
Thanks everyone. I fully intended on picking up the bill, but in the end the partner got it. Appreciate everyone’s input!
You should expect to pay since you extended the invite, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the partner insists on picking up the check because of the disparity in income.
Both sides should be expensing it though either way, it’s a business meeting.
Under no circumstances should you invite someone to lunch or dinner and expect them to pick up the bill. They may end up paying, but you have to at least be ready/expect to pick up the bill too.
