Yes, technically the Green Card can be emailed anywhere in the world not just to an US address. This is a more unlikely situation, typically is getting backed up by leadership if your visa is maxed out and you cannot extend.

Cuz I read some posts about company applied green card, then when you are waiting in the line, you can transfer to another country. And when it’s time, come back to the US. Not sure if this is true...

That’s what I was thinking too. Deloitte is a global brand but not a global company. It’s just group of partnerships across countries.

I’m working with a lawyer and what he’s told me on this is that they’ll have to file a new I-485 when you return on Canada. Not sure if it’s exactly the same situation as mine but thought I’d share

Just found out that my favorite aunt, who claimed I was her “favorite” niece, chose to leave all her valuables to her other two nieces who never visited or called her once in the last ten years. My aunt passed away suffering from cancer last year and didn’t have her own kids. I was there by her side throughout her battle. I still wish I had done more, made her life easier. I probably sound petty, but a part of me is forcing me to re-evaluate every interaction I ever had with her.

Scenario: US visa expired in 2021. Applied for a Canadian tourist visa to hopefully go for H-1B stamping in Canada once they open appointments.
Biometrics completed. Haven’t received any comm regarding my tourist visa approval. My partner already revived the visa long ago even if we allied together. Could it be because my US visa has expired? The reason I gave for applying for visitor visa was just for tourism purposes.
