I have spent the last 7 years grinding my way up the back of house food service industry. Started as a dishwasher and within a few years was a sous chef at a large, semi-formal global chain restaurant. Moved cities and was a kitchen manager at a hip ciderhouse/brewery. The pandemic hit my industry particularly hard and I decided to pivot into software development. After a 14 week bootcamp I am now searching for tech jobs. Any advice from people who have done the same?
