I am currently in Retail Project Management (coming up on 2 years) right now and am looking to make a shift into real estate finance. My degree is in finance, and I am really looking to pair that degree with my passion for real estate investment. Any suggestions on how to make the transition? I am just concerned on how to sell my current experience to a finance-specific role. Any thoughts and comments are greatly appreciated!

I don’t think you need to sell it as finance, they will see through the smoke. Own it and sell your experience in real estate they will see it as an asset

Thank you - I appreciate the insight. Definitely will be forthright and honest about my work experience.

What level are you looking at and what geographic market? I see tons of real estate lenders looking to hire right now analyst/associate level for underwriting new loans as well as positions for asset managing loans on book. Especially in NY. Do you get the commercial mortgage alert (industry publication, but expensive if you don’t get it through work)? They usually have job listings in there. If not, LinkedIn has lots of openings too. I could see you being a great fit for those gigs with your background, especially if you’re willing to “start over” as an analyst.

Hi all! I recently accepted a remote/hybrid RN position to try something new. Majority of my experience is at bedside. The pay is less than bedside (as a traveler), but more than a staff nurse. Are there any RN’s that left bedside for a remote position that can give advice on the work/life balance? What pros and cons do you encounter?

I am a clinical research coordinator working in Austin, Texas. I have my Masters in Cell & Molecular Biology and have a year of laboratory research experience.

I’ve been in my position for 5 months now. I make $27 hourly which amounts to about $51,000 yearly. Am I being under paid? Are all coordinator positions hourly? As a laboratory researcher I was salary :(

How do I go about asking for a raise or should I explore other companies or medical schools that have clinical research?

Has anyone made the jump from in-house legal over to the business side? How did the transition go? Would you do over it again? I work in a niche area (workplace health and safety) and have gotten a promotion in place, but have maxed out my growth in the legal department if I want to stay in safety. Only way for me to be promoted and stay in safety is to jump to the business side but I’m hesitant to give up doing legal work.

Folks,
In EY GDS package is offered from previous company package and then 30% hike from it or based on designation slabs?

For eg a smaller company employee have an exp but paid less like 4 LPA, but for same in EY for the YOE slab is 10 to 12.5 LPA

How HR offers package? As an general thumb rule he is asking only for 30% hike

Consider like for someone who doesn't know EY slabs. In this scenario HR gives only 30 percent hike or hire him in YOE slab package even though it's 100% hike?

TIA
