Question for those of you who work in SALT/Private, from a former SALT professional: Would you be interested in a hybrid role combining accounting and SALT work? On the accounting side, you would perform bookkeeping and payroll functions. On the SALT side, it would be more heavily geared towards sales & use tax compliance, with the opportunity for some consulting work. Or would you prefer to just do one or the other?
Had referral for BCG last year, but got rejected because of the hiring freeze. And now BCG is actively hiring! Can I reapply and secure an interview? Or do I really have to wait for the one year ban to pass
Lots of us are skilled at delivery but most sales books seem to focus on the pitch and closing... What are your best resources for learning to develop and nurture strong, lasting client relationships?
Accenture is hiring across all groups! DM me for a referral, or if you'd like to learn more. I've been in both the technology and strategy groups at Accenture, happy to discuss either.
How do I get my old project to leave me alone? I rolled off, but they keep calling me in for little things. My new project leads are okay with it for now, but I want it to end. What to do?
Hope everyone is having a wonderful day so far! Anybody from Deloitte or Accenture willing to provide a referral to my friend/ex-colleague? She is interested in change management or PM roles

How do you roll off a project where you are close with the partner but the M and SC create a toxic work environment? The partner is very hands off, but knows about what's going on.
Regional model - do they actually hold you to that during staffing? My project team seems to be from all over but didn’t know if this was unique.
I realized most of my anxiety or depression stems from a lack of career fulfillment. I recently started a new position and things were going great till they restructured my group and laid off a few on my team. Now I'm always looking over my shoulder and too concerned about screwing up. In the past, I have been laid off & I can't help reading too much in to every single email. My therapist made me aware of this but I'm looking for coping tools that someone in my situation has found useful. HELP!
A colleague shared with me the presentation they have prepared for their promotion case. I worked with them on multiple projects during the year and I can clearly see that some of the claims on the deck are wild exaggeration or lies. For example, managed changes in scope for Project X including contract changes. Plot twist: there never was a change of scope for Project X and the contract is exactly the same. How can people be so dishonest? How far can you go before truth catching up?
POLL: Is an extra 1500 Starpoints a week worth moving to different hotels every night for 3 nights? The hotels are all in downtown, so all under 15 min walk to the client site. #spgpromo
Hey Recruitexperts, Anyone hiring Technical Recruiters in Pune or Mumbai? Kindly let me know. Thank You. Regards, SSK
I've recently been struggling to figure out what job is next and what I want to do with my career. I have 4.5 yoe, 3.5 years at PwC within tax/tax technology and 1 year within IT transformation, Agile/Change and Implementation work. I don't have many hard skills except for things like excel, PowerPoint, alteryx/tableau/powerbi, and struggling to find something that I want to do. I feel kind of stuck on current project and feel like I'm underpaid. Any advice or guidance on how to figure it out?
I've never been this stressed about anything at work before. Project keeps extending me each week, leading an effort I have no clue what to do, late input from lead keep causing a ton of re-work

Accounting bowl, kpmg just announced we’re finally getting 2 shutdowns, one at calendar YE and one around July 4th. They will do so by moving 5 PTO days into the holiday calendar. How would you feel?
Booz folks. How is the life of gov contractors? I might end up moving over for a contract, but it seems like benefits are lacking. E.g. A friend of mine pays for her own health insurance.
Tips on kindly turning down an interview for one of your dream jobs, but maintaining a relationship? Loving my current gig and not in a place to leave, but might reconsider in a year or two.
Got a call from Apple - anyone interviewed for the Global Supply Manager position here? Not too excited about it but want to know more...
How do you all feel about splitting vacations 50/50 in a relationship and dates 60/40? I might be old fashioned but this rubs me the wrong way. I feel like I have to work 2x as hard to be taken seriously at work as a woman and pay for all kinds of crap like hair appts, nails, makeup, outfits to be viewed positively by men. Not to mention, expensive birth control, periods, and eventually potentially having a child. 50/50 makes me feel like a friend and not that valued. Thoughts?
IBM folks - how is the interview process evaluated based on cognitive assessment that I was asked to take before the process starts? I mean does it decides whether they will interview me or not? I have 9 yrs of experience.

Has anyone here ever not negotiated for a higher salary when given an offer? Looking at one that is 25% higher than my current salary and I'm pretty happy about it but I always hear to always negotiate for more.
